what is a handpoked tattoo?
a handpoked tattoo is a tattoo that is made without using a machine. i still use all the same equipment as a machine artist, but the tattoos are made dot by dot with just a needle.

how can i book with you?
i have made my booking as straight forward as possible for your convenience! you can find both forms (flash and custom) under my "booking" page, and can also find both links on my instagram. please expect a longer wait time for custom requests.

do i need to send a deposit? and what is your refund policy?
i require a $100 deposit to book an appointment. the money goes toward the final price of your tattoo and is used as financial security in case you cancel your appointment. deposits are non refundable, but i can reschedule you with the same deposit 1 time. any rescheduling after that results in your deposit being forfeited and an additional deposit will be required to re book your appointment.

what are your rates?
my minimum is 250 regardless of size or time. our studio has a 200/hour rate, but since hand poking takes longer, i am able to bring down the hourly a little bit.
up to 1 hour = 250
2 hours = 400
3 hours = 550
4 hours = 700
anything over 4 hours is an additional 100/hr
ADDITIONAL PRICING INFO FOR TRANSPARENCY: between taxes, shop fee, and overhead, i make roughly 45% of what i am paid for the day. please keep this in mind when asking for further discounted work.
i really want a tattoo from you, but i can't afford x amount right now.
i will happily split our sessions into multiple appointments to help with the financial burden. if that is still not doable for you, we can talk about a smaller flash piece that can be done within your budget. i do not recommend requesting custom work from me if you have a small budget, as it involves a lot of extra, unpaid work that i have to do.

do you accept tips?
i do, and while tattooing is generally a tipped service, it is not mandatory! paying in cash is also really helpful financially, so if you cannot afford to tip, please consider bringing at least some cash to your appointment! it doesn't have to be the exact amount of your tattoo - any amount is helpful.

do you do trades?
almost never. it really just comes down to the fact that i cannot afford to do trades. if this changes in the future, i will make sure to make an announcement about it.

how should i prepare for my appointment?
you should stay hydrated and moisturized the week leading up to your appointment. hydrated skin is much easier to tattoo, which means your appointment will take less time and will be less painful. please wear loose fitting clothing that you wouldn't mind staining. if you are getting your torso tattooed, i recommend an oversized button down shirt so you can still wear it and stay warm during your session. please also eat a balanced meal before your appointment, and make sure to bring some snacks with you. refrain from drinking excessive amounts of alcohol for at least two days before your appointment. alcohol and coffee thin your blood and will make it harder for me to tattoo you!

i have your phone number from a previous exchange, can i use it to text you about a future tattoo?
please don't do this! i treat every work related text message like an email and only respond to them once a week, but because text messages are not easy to keep track of, i will 100% forget to respond to you. this has nothing to do with a violation of privacy - you can text me memes or any non related work questions all you want! but if it it has anything to do with tattooing, please only use my email to contact me. the only exception is if you are having an emergency re: healing, like a possible infection, an allergic reaction, or an urgent question about aftercare. the same goes for instagram DMs - they will get lost!

nope! i have designated admin hours that i've recently implemented to avoid burnout. they change weekly depending on how busy i am, but i will always email you within 7 days of receiving your request. please do not follow up before those 7 days are up, but you are welcome to send me a nudge if it's been a week and you haven't heard from me!
